It is impossible to help all people around the world in need, so governments should focus on helping people in their own countries. To what extent do you agree or disagree? 

題目解讀

國際話題政府援助的對(duì)象不應(yīng)該僅僅局限于本國人民，因?yàn)閲抑g存在較大的貧富差距，需要國際援助去縮小這種差距，讓世界各國均衡發(fā)展。尤其是在某些地區(qū)遭受了自然災(zāi)害或者卷入戰(zhàn)爭的時(shí)候，國際援助顯得尤為重要，用于救助災(zāi)民和難民，避免人道主義災(zāi)難。因此，政府在照顧本國人民的福利的同時(shí)，也應(yīng)該承擔(dān)起自己的國際責(zé)任，對(duì)有需要的國家給予援助。

Every year, large quantities of international aid, whether in the form of financial, medical, or technical support, cross the border to assist those in need. While it is true that this aid cannot reach every corner of the world, I do not agree that governments should concentrate solely on providing help for citizens in their own countries.                              

The first reason against setting boundaries for charity is due to the increasing gap between developed and underdeveloped countries. Some countries have well-established infrastructure, abundant resources, and immense wealth, while in poor countries millions live below the poverty line, struggling for basic necessities. At present, the only way to bridge the gap and achieve the balanced development worldwide is for the governments of developed countries to provide assistance for those in underdeveloped nations.

Another reason supporting cross-border aid is humanitarian concern. When a country or region is struck by natural disasters, or engulfed in conflict, there are often large numbers of refugees who need emergency assistance, which primarily comes from international sources. By pooling donations and resources from around the world, we can provide the necessary care to those affected and prevent further humanitarian disasters.       

There is no denying that international aid cannot meet the need of all people throughout the world, and no matter how much effort is made, there will always be blind spots that are neglected. However, this does not justify the viewpoint that individual countries should prioritize the wellbeing their own people at the expense of their responsibilities to assist others.

In conclusion, governments should not limit their focus to the needs within their own borders; instead, they should adopt a broader perspective and acknowledge their wider responsibilities.
