SAT has been reformed twice, or triple if the 2021 reform counts, since 2013 when I first started to help my students prepare for this test. The question types have changed: some were deleted and then added back, some were added and retained. But the focus has always been on testing the critical thinking of the test takers. So, thinking quality is the key; each question tries to make you RACK YOUR BRAIN.

ACT is a little bit different. To ace ACT reading, the key point is to be FAST, NOT to THINK HARD.  But, if it has such a different emphasis, how can it be a reliable and effective alternative to the competing SAT?  ACT 則稍有不同。要在 ACT 閱讀部分取得高分，關(guān)鍵在于要快，而不是苦思冥想。但是，如果它有如此不同的側(cè)重點(diǎn)，那它又如何能成為與 SAT 競(jìng)爭(zhēng)的可靠且有效的替代品呢？

Probably that is why ACT will introduce and implement a newly reformed ACT in September. It will be like this. 或許這就是為什么 ACT 將在 9 月推出并實(shí)施全新改革后的 ACT 考試。它將會(huì)是這樣的。

Time in total is shortened; science becomes optional. This is quite understandable: If I have AP to proof and highlight my specialties, why should I take Science? to stay in front of the computer for another 40 minutes?

As for the READING part, the number is reduced, yet the time becomes longer. That means each question's difficulty level will increase; otherwise, it does not make sense. In other words, you need not just to SPOT the information, but to THINK ABOUT it. 
至于閱讀部分，題量減少了，但時(shí)間卻變長(zhǎng)了。這意味著每道題的難度會(huì)增加，否則就沒(méi)有意義了。換句話說(shuō)，你不僅要找到信息，還要對(duì)其進(jìn)行思考。

ACT will reform again. The reformed ACT reading to be launched in September is more like the old SAT reading, before its 2023 reform; and the SAT is quite popular both among American students and international students. 
美國(guó)大學(xué)入學(xué)考試（ACT）將會(huì)再次改革。將于 9 月推出的改革后的 ACT reading更像 2023 年改革前的老版 SAT reading，而 SAT 在美國(guó)學(xué)生和國(guó)際學(xué)生中都頗受歡迎。
