Prior to that, I was a trainer for a retail company for over 2 years. Guangzhou has been my home since May 2008 and the Chinese people have been very welcoming. My name is Michael Olmedo Resta.? I am from the UK, from England.? I am a CELTA? (TEFL) qualified English teacher.? I obtained this qualification in 2005.? I have been teaching English in China since February 2006 continuously apart from a short period in Hong Kong last year in 2009 where I mainly taught part time in schools/kindergartens.?

Prior to joining Wall Street English and before my time in Hong Kong, I taught firstly in Shandong Province (university teaching – one and a half years) and then for 2 years in Shanghai at East China University of Science and Technology.? My focus was mainly Oral English.? My first degree was in English Law (I practiced for 10 years as a solicitor in UK) and so I did have the opportunity to teach some Legal English as well as International Economic Law in English at the invitation of the university.? In addition I did some kindergarten and school teaching while in Shanghai and helped students at the university who were preparing to take the IELTS exam.
